Scripting and Hooks · Real Examples

Scripts engineered for retention, not applause.

These are real delivery-ready scripts I wrote for a client, exactly as they were handed over: hook first, one idea per beat, on-screen directions included, one CTA. Every script starts from a format already proven in the niche, then gets rebuilt around the client's credibility.

The Clone Comparison Reel

Written for Sam Kemper, certified fitness coach · split screen, two Sams: the real coach vs the clueless coach
The strategy behind it

The clone comparison is the number one viral format in the coaching niche. The engine is contrast: same result, opposite methods. The client's draft had the healthy habits on the wrong side, which would have wrecked his credibility as a certified coach, so the script flips overtraining onto the clueless clone and makes recovery the hero.

On screen
"Both clients lost 50 lbs"
Hook
Left Sam: "My client lost 50 pounds this year." · Right Sam: "Mine lost 50 too. Easy."
Beat 1
Left: "He trained 4 days a week and actually took his recovery days." · Right: "Mine was in the gym every single day. Rest days are for the weak."
Beat 2
Left: "We built him a meal plan he could actually stick to." · Right: "I told mine to just eat less. He figured it out."
Beat 3
Left: "Creatine and protein. That is it." · Right: "I got mine on peptides and steroids. Speeds it right up."
Payoff
"One year later"Left: "My client is strong, full of energy, and still improving." · Right: "Mine is... in a hospital bed." Left Sam slowly turns and stares. Right Sam: "But he hit his goal, so."
CTA
"You can lose 50 pounds a hundred different ways. Only some of them let you keep your health. If you want the version that lasts, comment TRAIN and I will get you started."

"What Actually Helped Me Lose Weight"

Written for Sam Kemper · on-screen title stays up while items reveal one at a time
The strategy behind it

The reference reel wins on a raw honesty hook. But the original creator's honesty was "extreme tactics I don't condone." For a certified coach we invert it: the honest answer is boring, which is more contrarian and more credible coming from him.

On screen
"What actually helped me lose weight:"held for the whole video, items appear one by one with hand up and down gestures
Item 1 · Cardio
"Cardio. And way less than you think. I did some, but cardio was maybe a tenth of it. If you are grinding the treadmill every day and nothing is changing, this is your sign to stop relying on it."
Item 2 · Walking
"Walking. Boring, free, and the most underrated fat loss tool there is. I hit around 8,000 steps a day, every day. That quietly did more than any single workout."
Item 3 · Protein
"Eating more protein, not less food. I stopped starving myself and started building every meal around protein. I was fuller, I kept my muscle, and the weight still came off."
Item 4 · Lifting
"Lifting weights three times a week. Not to get bulky. To keep the muscle that keeps your metabolism working while you lose the fat."
Item 5 · Payoff
"And the one nobody wants to hear. Sleep and patience."

The Food Swaps Reel

Written for Sam Kemper · six food categories, three tiers each, machine gun rhythm
The strategy behind it

The reference reel labeled foods "bad / good / excellent" and got so much pushback the creator needed a disclaimer in the caption. We fix it at the source: no food is labeled bad, tiers are about calories, and the disclaimer becomes the hook. Same viral format, cleaner comment section, smarter-looking coach.

Hook
"No food is bad. But some make losing fat far easier than others. Here are six everyday swaps, ranked from the heaviest on calories to the leanest."
Beat · Eggs
"Fried eggs are the heaviest on calories. Scrambled are a smarter swap. But boiled eggs are the leanest of the three."
Beat · Cheese
"Parmesan is the heaviest on calories. Mozzarella is a smarter swap. But cottage cheese is the leanest, and the highest in protein."
Beats 3 to 6
Beef, milk, chicken and rice follow the same three-tier rhythm.Ribeye → strip → lean mince · whole milk → high protein milk → almond milk · fried → roasted → grilled · fried rice → white rice → cauliflower rice
CTA
"And remember, you can eat any of these and still lose fat in a calorie deficit. The leaner picks just make that deficit easier to hit. Follow for more, and if you want a nutrition plan built around foods you actually enjoy, comment TRAIN."

Your niche has winning formats too. I find them.

Every script I deliver comes with the format reference, the delivery directions and the reasoning, so you always know why it will work before you film it.
